Software Engineer (Contract)

Leeds (Hybrid) few times per month

£500 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract Length**: 6 months (with potential for extension)

We are seeking an experienced software engineering contractor for a consultancy firm in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a dynamic project environment and work with cutting-edge technologies. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and deploy robust applications using .NET 8 and C#.

- Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.

- Leverage Azure Cloud services, including Functions and Cosmos DB, to build scalable cloud-based solutions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices.

- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.

- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Essential Skills:

- Proficiency in .NET 8 C# and SQL

- Solid understanding of Terraform for infrastructure automation.

- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services, mainly Functions and Cosmos DB.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Previous experience in a consultancy role is a plus.
