Manual Test Analyst (API Testing)

Brio Digital is looking for a skilled Manual Test Analyst with expertise in API testing. 

The ideal candidate will deeply understand API testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. The Manual Test Analyst will ensure APIs' reliability, performance, and security through thorough testing and analysis. This is a health tech project, and industry knowledge preferred. 

Test Analyst **Key Responsibilities:**

• API Test Planning: Collaborate with development teams and project stakeholders to understand API requirements and define comprehensive API test plans.

• Test Design: Create detailed test cases and scenarios tailored to API testing. Define test data, expected responses, and execution steps.

• API Test Execution: Execute manual API tests, including functional, performance, and security tests. Document test results and report defects, including clear steps to reproduce.

• Data Validation: Verify data integrity and consistency by validating API responses and ensuring data accuracy.

• Security Testing:  Conduct security testing of APIs to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.

• Integration Testing: Verify the integration of APIs with other systems and services.

• API Documentation: Review and update API documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Test Reporting: Prepare detailed test reports, including API testing status, defects, and performance metrics. Communicate findings to project stakeholders.

Test Analyst Key Skills;

• Proven experience as a Manual Test Analyst with a focus on API testing.

• Strong knowledge of API testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.

• Understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML data formats.

• Experience with security testing tools and practices for APIs.

• Proficient in using version control systems.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
