Brio Digital are currently supporting a HealthTech consultancy who are looking for a contract service designer for a large piece of work in the public sector.

 

Job Title: Senior Service Designer (Contract)

Location: UK Wide

Contract Duration: 9 Months.

Rate: £550/day Inside IR35

Service Designer Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: Lead the design strategy for new products and services, ensuring a user-centric approach from conception to delivery.
  • Effective Communication: Present ideas and design concepts persuasively to colleagues and senior stakeholders, providing sound reasoning for your decisions.
  • Team Development: Mentor, coach, and manage a team of user-centered design professionals (service designers, interaction designers, content designers, user researchers).
  • User-Focused Collaboration: Work closely with user researchers to champion user needs and translate findings into designs that align with organizational objectives.
  • Improving Health Outcomes: Apply research evidence and design principles to create or improve solutions that have a positive impact on health outcomes for the public or health professionals.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Build strong relationships with multi-disciplinary teams, clearly articulating the value of user-centered service design in achieving company goals.
  • Accessibility and Inclusion: Champion the creation of products and services that are inclusive, accessible, and meet the needs of a diverse user base.

 

Service Designer Essential Skills:

  • Proven track record as a Senior Service Designer or in a similar design leadership role.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus around design directions.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring design teams.
  • Deep understanding of user research methodologies and how to apply insights.
  • Commitment to designing products and services that positively impact health outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of accessibility and inclusion standards.
