Senior Software Engineer (Ruby Rails) | UK (Remote)
Seeking a Senior Software Engineer role to work on a greenfield FinTech product launching in the UK? This is the perfect role for you.
The Job
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a new software engineering team in the UK building a bespoke FinTech platform redefining the alternative investment sector within a US business. With a highly successful product in operation in the US, you'll be working closely with the CTO, Head of Engineering and fellow Software Engineer to build the platform from scratch with involvement across the whole engineering lifecycle.
The product build is truly greenfield where you'll be able to make a key impact in it's development and be able contribute to the overall technical architecture and design.
About You
Holding at least 5 years' experience as a software engineer, you'll hold a strong understanding in Ruby, Rails, React, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins and AWS and able to work in fast-paced, startup orientated environments. Whilst the role is backend focused, you should be happy to work full stack building UI services.
Ideally you will hold a shortened notice period (circa 1 Month) though this is not mandatory.

Ruby, Rails, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Golang (internal tooling), Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Agile (Kanban), CI/CD, Microservices, Event-Driven Design.
(You don't need to know 100% of the tech environment to be a good fit, Ruby is the key requirement so please apply if count Ruby as your main language)

With a break quickly, move fast approach and a remote-first policy, they have built an excellent engineering team across the US & LATAM and now want to build a new UK-based team of engineers.
The Numbers
Base salary up to £90,000 GBP with annual bonus, private healthcare, pension, generous holiday leave, flexi work hours and fully remote working.
