Role Overview

Product Lead – NHS Experience

As Product Lead, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of digital products and services that play a key role in improving outcomes across the NHS. You’ll combine strategic vision with hands-on product leadership, balancing delivery momentum with long-term impact. Working across multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll ensure products meet user needs, align with organisational goals, and deliver measurable value to patients, clinicians, and the wider system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product strategy and delivery across a complex portfolio of digital or data-enabled products and services
  • Define and own product roadmaps, prioritisation, and outcome-focused backlogs
  • Navigate a wide and complex stakeholder landscape across the NHS, central government, and delivery partners
  • Champion user-centred, data-informed product thinking, embedding a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, design, policy, and delivery) to align product outcomes with strategic objectives
  • Provide leadership and coaching to product managers, building capability and fostering a high-performing product culture
  • Translate complex technical or policy concepts into clear, actionable business outcomes for senior stakeholders

Required Experience

  • Proven track record of leading product delivery in large, complex organisations (NHS, central government, or similar public sector settings)
  • Experience defining and delivering digital or data-driven products from discovery through to live operation
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills – able to influence, align, and gain trust across diverse and senior groups
  • Strong product acumen, with the ability to balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives
  • Skilled in using evidence and data to guide prioritisation, decision-making, and performance measurement
  • Experience working in agile environments and managing delivery through tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance within NHS or public sector contexts
  • Confident communicator, capable of translating complex information into clear, compelling narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience leading across multiple teams or cross-functional programmes

You’ll be joining a mission-driven environment where your leadership will directly shape services that make a real difference across the NHS.
