Privacy Policy
The policy sets out the different areas where user privacy is concerned and outlines the obligations and requirements of the users, the website and website owners. Furthermore the way this website processes, stores and protects user data and information will also be detailed within this policy.
Who we are
Brio Digital Ltd is a recruitment agency and employment business registered in England and Wales (company no. 13034664) and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration ZB143399). We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
Our data protection lead is our Director, Robert Foley. You can contact us about anything in this policy at compliance@briodigital.io.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how we use personal information about people who visit our website, contact us through it, or deal with us as a client, prospective client or supplier.
If you are looking for work with us, or apply for a role through this website, our Privacy Notice for Candidates and Contractors explains how we use your information: www.briodigital.io/legal/candidate-privacy-notice
What we collect
Why we use it, and our legal basis
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced our interests against your rights. You can ask us for a summary of that assessment.
Marketing
Every marketing email we send identifies us and includes a way to unsubscribe. If you ask us to stop, we will do so immediately and keep your details on a do not contact list so we do not contact you again. Before we call business numbers for marketing, we check them against the Corporate Telephone Preference Service and our own suppression list.
Who we share it with
- Our service providers, who handle information on our behalf under contract, including our website platform (Webflow), our website security and delivery provider (Cloudflare), our email and storage provider (Google Workspace), our recruitment database and our telephony provider.
- Google, which supplies the fonts used on our website. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. No cookies are set for this.
- Professional advisers, insurers and auditors, where necessary.
- Public authorities, regulators or courts, where the law requires.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
International transfers
Some of our service providers, including Webflow, Cloudflare and Google, are based in or process information in the United States. Where information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on a safeguard recognised by UK law, such as the UK US data bridge for certified organisations, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, and we assess the risk where we are required to. You can ask us for more information.
How long we keep it
Security
We protect personal information with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls, multi factor authentication and secure systems. If a personal data breach occurs, we follow our breach response process and will notify the ICO and affected individuals where the law requires.
Your rights
You have the right to: be told how we use your information; ask for a copy of it, free of charge; have inaccurate information corrected; ask us to delete it; ask us to restrict how we use it; object to our use of it, including for direct marketing; receive certain information in a portable format; and withdraw any consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email compliance@briodigital.io. We will respond within one calendar month. If your request is complex, we may take up to two months longer and will tell you within the first month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us at compliance@briodigital.io so we can put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome without undue delay.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office on 0303 123 1113 or at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
